Mission Statement

It is the intention of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska and Iowa, a sovereign nation federally recognized by the United States of America, to preserve, protect, assess, inspect, and maintain the natural resources of the Omaha Tribe. Through the designated office of the Omaha Tribe Environmental Protection Department, an office in which the Omaha Tribal Council has vested the authority to do the following; Preserve, protect, assess, and maintain the natural resources by emphasizing education, regulation, and enforcement.
